		Our giant "the Avi Montassell" the next month of June will travel to Chester (England), like guest of its City council, to participate during five days in the acts of Encounter of Giants that will take place in that one city and which the Organizers have predicted to reunite about fifty giants of the island.

Day 25 of April, l' Avi Montasell will have the honor to support to the new giant "Cebrià" , of the Colla Gegantera de Montbau. The participant groups will be: Gegants de Barcelona, Gegants del Districte d’Horta – Guinardó, Trabucaires de Barcelona, Gegants del Pi , Gegants de Castellterçol, Gegantona de la Taxonera, Grallers SiFaSol, Gegant Pinós Escola Els Pins, Gegants Escola Baloo, Cavallins La Lira de Montornès del Vallès, Colla Gegantera "La Xerinola" de Cervelló, Gegants del Guinardó, Gegants de Cervelló, Geganters de Vallgorguina (sponsorship).

Visit of giants of Costa Rica

Of the 23 of June to 2 of Julio us they have visited in Vallgorguina a group of 32 people coming from Costa Rica and pertaining to the mascaradas ones of the University School, of Cartago, to the one of “Los Chapetones”, of Barva de Heredia”, Cachí and Tres Ríos, pit props of the musicians of Wild “Los Colegas” and authorities.

These groups, along with others of our country, have participated in Encounter of Giants of days 27 and 28 of June.

The Avi Montassell in a seal collection

Our giant leaves reflected, with number 2, in the seal collection created by the International Circle of Friends of the Giants (www.ciag.org) like commemoration of the ten years of its presentation. The reproduced African giants in a book

Two of our African figures appear reproduced in the book that have been published in Saragossa on the giants, and to complement the exhibition "The dance of the different giants, bigheaded and others criatures" in that these figures been have exposed during four months.
